What is Field Day?

Field Day is the most popular on-the-air operating event in amateur radio in North America. It is part contest, part emergency preparedness exercise, and part public demonstration. It serves as an “open house” for amateur radio, where clubs set up stations in public view to educate the general public about the hobby and the crucial role ham radio operators play in their communities.

What to Expect

During the event, we will be demonstrating our ability to operate in “field” conditions using portable, emergency-powered setups. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to see firsthand how amateur radio is set up for emergency operations and communications during crises.

The event is completely open to the public to observe and learn. Whether you are a long-time ham radio enthusiast, someone interested in emergency preparedness, or just curious about what we do, we would love to have you stop by!

Get On The Air (GOTA)

Are you a licensed radio operator looking to get some hands-on experience? You are invited to try out our Get On The Air (GOTA) station! It’s a great opportunity to test out HF communications and build your skills in a fun, welcoming environment.
