What a weekend! The Mid-Mo Amateur Radio Club's ARRL Field Day 2026 at the Cole County Fairgrounds was a tremendous success. We had a fantastic turnout, great weather (albeit hot), and plenty of radio action over the 24-hour operating period.
Operating under our club's special event callsign, N0SS, our members set up multiple temporary stations and demonstrated our ability to establish emergency communications from scratch. From pulling cables to erecting towers in "field" conditions, it was a true team effort that showcased our emergency preparedness capabilities.
Field Day Results
Our operators were busy all night pulling in contacts from across the continent and beyond! We had an impressive showing across multiple bands and modes.

A huge highlight of the event was our Get On The Air (GOTA) station. It was wonderful to see newly licensed operators and members of the public sitting down at the radio, many making their very first HF contacts in a welcoming and supportive environment. Public education and community outreach is a core part of Field Day, and sharing the hobby with visitors made the weekend extra special.
Thank you to everyone who helped plan, set up, operate, log, and tear down, as well as to all the visitors who stopped by the Cole County Fairgrounds to see what amateur radio is all about. We couldn't have achieved these outstanding results for N0SS without the dedication of our club members.
73, and we'll see you on the air!
