2-Meter Repeater report: Tim, KAØOUV, reports no updates. The Tech Committee still
needs to find a time to meet.
Digipeater report: No report.
Missouri Emergency Packet Network (MEPN): No report.
Local Emergency Coordinator's report: No report.
District Emergency Coordinator’s report: No report.
VE Liaison’s report: Nancie, NMØC, reports that there are two exams to give after the

meeting. Also, a VE training session is being planned for Saturday, January 14 . An email
will be sent once more details are known.
CW Classes: Kent, K9ZTV, reported that the classes continue to meet as scheduled and
are going well. The advanced class meets at Mel’s Country Café at 6:45am on Saturday
mornings. The intermediate class meets at Mel’s after breakfast on Saturday mornings at
9am, while the beginning class meets an hour later at 10am.
Training Committee: Mike, KMØS, reported that the Technician class has twelve students
participating. A review will follow in the next class and exams will be given on November

22 . Prior to that there will be a hands-on activity taking place on Saturday, November 19
at 10am. An email will follow with more details.
Club Shirts/Jackets/Patches: Mark, KIØY, reported that an order form has been created
and that there were some small modifications to be updated. Once those changes are made,
it should be ready for uploading to the club’s website for orders to start being taken.
Mid-Mo Emergency Radio Service: Rich, NØJBF, reported that Jerry, KDØNPF, has been
very busy of late and the by-laws still need to be approved.
WØO Halloween Special Event Recap: Kent, K9ZTV, reported that the event was very
successful with many new people participating this year. There were a bit over 200 contacts
on CW and around 130 contacts on SSB. Kent passed around a QSL card for this year’s
event for everyone to see.
Karl, WA2KBZ, relayed a message from Gary, KØWYN, expressing his thanks for helping
with cleanup afterwards.
New business
Officer Nominations. The following nominations were received:
Board Member: Greg Abbott, WBØAQV – nominated by Kent, K9ZTV.
Board Member: Jim Biggerstaff, NØTKN – nominated by Tim, KAØOUV.
Vice-President: Mike Dolson, NØZH – nominated by Jim, NØTKN.
Announcements:
Kent, K9ZTV, announced that the a few club members provided communications for the Zonta
5K run last weekend. Everything went well.
Chuck, AF6GT, announced that he had submitted a question to QEX magazine and had it
published and answered.
Kent, K9ZTV, announced that the club owes Jack, NØKSF, a huge thank-you for handling the
distribution of Tom’s estate.
Presentation:
Tim, KAØOUV, gave a short presentation on batteries and battery technologies. Afterwards,
Mike, NØZH, gave a presentation on Anderson Powerpole connectors.
