April 2025 meeting minutes (previously delayed) were reviewed, corrected, and
approved. Specific questions were asked about Linn Repeater Costs. Updated version
will be distributed electronically, and updated version posted on the web page.
May 2025 Meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.

VE Liaison’s Report: Mike Smith - AD0YM
(Written/Submitted) A test session occurred after our May meeting. Unfortunately, the
candidate was unsuccessful. A test exam is tentatively scheduled after our 12 June
monthly meeting. Some Volunteer Examiners will need to plan to stay late to help
administer that test session.
(Verbal) Another exam session is scheduled for tonite after the meeting. Two VEs are
needed.

K0ETY Repeater System Report: Jim Biggerstaff – N0TKN
Repeaters appear to be acting normally. Still problems with generator at Cole EMA.
Hope it will be addressed. Tower work for Linn Repeater is scheduled next week. Work
is hoped to be done at one time. No PTT Counter report.

Class practiced Field Day QSOs Will practice again before Field Day.

Red Cross.
o Cole County Ready Festival. (Contacted by Red Cross about attending.
o Steve Hick, WW0G, volunteered to man booth at festival for Club.
o Also invited to attend quarterly meetings with Red Cross and any other groups.
WW0G will be attending those as well.
o Discussion about Banners.
Condition of current banners?
Cost to have new ones made is relatively inexpensive.
Can be made locally.
Art will investigate cost.
o Recommendation for a General coverage receiver to generate interest.
o Model release forms. If a perfect picture is acquired, have parent sign.
o Steve: This has been announced at schools. Hope is to have kids there. Art will
discuss joining Steve at the Ready Festival.
Field Day Review
Assignments Discussed and reviewed.
o Fire Department Trailer (basically) confirmed.
o LP Tank from N0LBY for JCFD Trailer power.
o MSHP Tower Trailer confirmed. Discussed placement on Friday during the day.
Food Discussed for dinner and Breakfast.
o Station placement discussed.
o Antenna orientation and placement discussed.
Fuel acquisition discussed.
o Need enough gas cans.
o Gas station is available 24x7 to refuel cans if necessary.
Generators discussed
o Generator from N0TKNJim Biggerstaff?
o Previously used MDC Generators.
o Granted use of N0DVM Generators if needed. Will have to retrieve.
Logging Laptops
o NW0M Coordinating.
Bonus Points discussed.
o Need GOTA Logging for the points this year.
o GOTA coach is 100 points.
GOTA Antenna location and orientation discussed.
Banner for Field Day location discussed.
o Size and location discussed.
Booth-sized acquisition discussed.
o Can be used for both Field Day as well as other events.
o Art will investigate.
Public Relations discussed.
o Proclamations from Elected Officials discussed.
o Mayor (Jefferson City) and Cole County Commission are two likely sources.
o Missouri Section Manager is good vector for Proclamation at State level.

o Need a Served Agency visit for points.
Request by to send roster with Paid members after Field Day.
Discussion:
Need someone else to do Zoom meeting next month.
Tim will be in ZD7 (Saint Helena) next month for the IARU contest.
